Christine + Jon began their momentous day at the Hyatt Place in Flushing NY. But getting ready at a hotel does not mean Jon would be seeing Christine so easily! Christine’s bridesmaids enjoyed playing the traditional Chinese ‘door games’, which including eating and dancing challenges for Jon and his groomsmen before Jon was allowed in to see the bride-to-be.
The ceremony took place in the beautiful Tuscan Garden in Snug Harbor, Staten Island. Modeled after Villa Gamberaia in Florence, these gardens are the ideal location for an outdoor ceremony. Paired with a warm summer day, Christine + Jon exchanged their vows and tied the knot in the most perfect setting.
The reception took place at Jade Asia in Flushing. Christine + Jon held their traditional Chinese tea ceremony and celebrated their night away as a newlywed couple. The night ended with lots of laughter, dancing, and Ample Hill ice cream! But for Christine + Jon, this is just the beginning of many new adventures to come.
