On a beautiful August summer evening, close family and friends gathered together at the North Ritz Club to witness a Yankees vs. Mets baseball themed wedding. The wedding of Wendy, a devoted Mets fan, and Eric, a die-hard Yankees fan couldn’t be more perfect. Wendy and Eric are avid baseball fans and for good reason. Wendy and Eric both grew up in New York, and baseball is the city’s most popular and closely followed sport, with fourteen historical World Series championship series between New York City teams.

Months before the wedding, guests received baseball ticket wedding invitations. Instead of a traditional guest book, guests signed a Mets or Yankees jersey. Family and friends departed with baseball favors. The ideas are endless for every detail of their lovely wedding. They did such an amazing job putting everything together.

But baseball isn’t the only common interest for this newlywed couple. Wendy and Eric both have a great sense of humor, and are one of the most down-to-earth couples that I have had the pleasure of working with. They complement each other in so many different ways.

Yankee Stadium Citi Field Engagement Photos | Wendy + Eric

Opposites attract. You hear it all the time about all different couples but what does it really mean? For Wendy + Eric, their attraction is sourced from being huge baseball fans of opposing NY teams. With that in mind, the locations for their engagement session was easily decided – Yankee Stadium and Citi Field! On a hot and sunny June weekend, we started our session at Yankee stadium and made our way over to Citi Field. It was fun exploring the surrounding areas of the stadium as we had our photo shoot and chatting about the players. As we arrived to our second location, Citi Field was packed with fans getting ready for the game. Although the Mets did not win this game, but they sure held their ground against the Marlins during this 6.5 hour, 20 inning game. What an exciting day for all of us.
