I had the pleasure of photographing June + Daniel recently at the Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City. Long Island City has been transformed into a prime neighborhood with many new real estate and park developments and was a great choice for a photo shoot. We enjoyed walking around and getting a bit of both an industrial and urban park vibe. June + Daniel is a fun couple full of smiles and laughter and it was great working with them. Gantry State Park Engagement Photos | Elizabeth + Peter

It never ceases to amaze me how beautiful New York City is. I may have lived here all my life, but it is unbelievable how much it continues to grow and transform. Thanks to Elizabeth + Peter, I had the opportunity to visit and shoot at the brand new beautiful Hunter’s Point South Waterfront Park – over five acres of abandoned marshland and industrial waterfront in Long Island City transformed into vibrant community open space and dynamic site for recreation. This new park is walking distances from Gantry State Park. It is a truly scenic place to be!

Although there’s just under a week before Elizabeth and Peter’s wedding, this couple did not look stressed at all! As it is evident from the photos, Elizabeth + Peter enjoyed a beautiful September Saturday afternoon in their neighborhood with each other, and it was all full of smiles and laughter throughout the shoot. I had a great time getting to know Elizabeth + Peter and working with them.

Liberty State Park Engagement Photos | Amy + Ross

Being a native New Yorker, I can’t help but to be biased about New York City having the best locations for photo shoots. But after this engagement session at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, I think I can be swayed. With the Manhattan skyline, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty in the background, Liberty State Park has a beautiful backdrop for any picture. On its own, it boasts of beautiful greenery, scenic waterside rocks and the historic New Jersey Central Railroad Terminal. It is a perfect location for a romantic couple like Amy + Ross. They planned this photo shoot so well with some of their favorite locations from
around their neighborhood.

It felt like yesterday when Amy + Ross met with me to discuss their wedding. It’s hard to believe how quickly time flies. We are just a little under a month away until their wedding day. Thank you both for such a great time and I am looking forward to your wedding in October.
