On this beautiful Saturday, I almost forgot I was working while capturing the special moments and fun of An Ting and Chris’s wedding day. The bride and her bridesmaids were dressed in elegant full-length gowns accommodated by bright bouquets that accentuated their style and elegance. The ladies kept their high spirits and excitement throughout the day and were great to work with.  The groomsmen knew just how to have fun as well!  Looking tough on the police barricade, it was obvious nothing could ever block Chris’ way to An Ting!  The  groomsmen chatted about their passion for cars, kept the mood light, and looked sharp for the beautiful ladies.

After a beautiful ceremony where An Ting and Chris expressed their love and commitment to each other and their new life as husband and wife, the happy couple joined their friends for a fine reception. The reception hall lit up beautifully and the fantastic music created the perfect atmosphere for a grand party. Before the night was over, the dance floor became THE place to be. All of An Ting and Chris’ friends kept the party going with dancing all night long!

The happy couple took off for their honeymoon in Puerto Rico after the wedding. If the wedding day is any indication of what’s to come (and I think it is), Chris and An Ting are in for a life full of love and excitement. I am honored to have been there for the first page in this new chapter of their lives!

I love when clients are unique and take it upon them to suggest the shooting locations or other ideas. Chris and Ann Ting were just that couple. They are adventurous, fun loving and ready for anything. They are couple who knows what they want, and I was ready to give that too them.

The location of the engagement session was downtown New York at Battery Park on the west side. The location offered many different landscapes and structures to work with. Nighttime sessions pose a different type of challenge with lighting, but when done right they produce truly spectacular images. I work all over New York, so it makes it more exciting for me when couples have their own vision and come to the session with ideas.

Chris and An Ting looked great in their chosen outfits. The first outfit had An Ting, a recent graduate from nursing school, wearing a fabulous body hugging white dress with gold zipper detailing on the shoulders. Chris was wearing simple gray and white gingham shirt with black dress slacks. They are a beautiful couple and they were relaxed for the entire photo session. The second outfit selection was a bit more casual, Chris was wearing a sharp white button down untucked with a pair of great jeans. An Ting was in a beautiful red dress that had a small tie halter. They were both so in synch with each other it was a joy to watch and photograph.

The engagement session went amazing, and the images turned out just fantastic. We were able to capture tender moments even in the hours right before Sundays Hurricane. The couple kept their cool even with people rushing all around us to evacuate. The serenity brought to the images truly came from the couple’s interactions with each other. We were also able to capture the beauty of New York City and it’s lights. This was a perfect setting for these two love birds.

An Ting and Chris will be tying the knot on September 24th, 2011 at the beautiful Vanderbilt south beach in Staten Island. This beach front ballroom is the perfect setting for a wonderful wedding. The couple is really looking forward to the big day and cannot wait to share their lives with each other. I want to thank Chris and Ann Ting for an amazing session.
